With "Cross-disciplinary Student Career Development" at its core, the NTU Career Center proudly presents the"2026 NTU Beyond Borders Student Career Development Program." We support students in stepping out into the international arena, integrating diverse professional perspectives, and cultivating cross-cultural understanding, innovative thinking, and project execution skills. Explore your career path within real industry environments and shape yourself into a globally competitive talent.
I. Program Tracks
Are you looking for an experiential empowerment track, or do you want to pitch and execute a project completely of your own design?
(1) Program 1: Interdisciplinary Overseas Career Empowerment
Best suited for: Students who want to explore and experience the international workplace first.
What you will do: Participate in cross-disciplinary career training activities organized by the Career Center to understand MNC (Multinational Corporation) operations and how cross-disciplinary talents collaborate.
What you will learn:
1.Multinational Corporation business models and cross-cultural communication and collaboration.
2.How to effectively bridge the gap from academia to your career.
3.Insights into which industry sectors you might shine in down the road.
(2) Program 2: Overseas Career Development Action Plan
Best suited for: Students with clear ideas who want to build a project truly their own.
What you can do: Propose your own overseas action plan focused on areas like career exploration, empowerment, or development.
1.You may invite NTU faculty members or external industry mentors to provide project consultation and execution guidance.
2.Cross-departmental and cross-college teams are highly encouraged. Teams showcasing interdisciplinary collaboration will receive priority selection.
3.We encourage exchanges and learning at institutions ranked in the top 1,000 of the QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, or U.S. News & World Report Best Global University Rankings, or foreign research institutions recognized by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) (excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau).
4.Bring the ideas in your head to life and turn your vision into an actionable stage.
II. Application Information
(1)Eligibility: Currently enrolled NTU students for the semester. Applications can be submitted individually or as a team.
(2)Application Period: From now until August 31, 2026.。
(3)Project Execution Window: From the date of approval until September 30, 2026.
(4)Travel Advisory Restrictions: Applications for destinations designated with a "Red" travel advisory by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) will not be accepted. If traveling to countries/regions with an "Orange" advisory, an additional Informed Consent Form must be submitted.
III. Application Process
(1) Complete the "NTU Beyond Borders Student Career Development Project Proposal" (save and convert to PDF format).
(2)Submit online application form and upload your completed project proposal.
IV. Subsidies & Funding
(1)Following the Career Center's review and approval, funding will be granted. Each project can receive up to NT$50,000 per person, offsetting your costs while broadening your horizons—making your dreams highly actionable.
(2)Students cannot repeatedly apply for other NTU Beyond Borders tracks/schemes for the exact same purpose or itinerary.
V. Review Criteria
As long as you tell your story clearly, we are ready to support your journey to see the world!
(1)Project Concept & Career Alignment: Clear learning motivation—why do you want to go? What specific problem do you aim to explore or solve?
(2)Feasibility: Concrete action steps, a reasonable timeline, and well-defined deliverables.
(3)Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Team Composition: Diverse student backgrounds, clear division of labor, and cross-departmental collaboration traits. Cross-college proposals will be given priority.
(4)Innovation & Global Vision: Demonstrates innovative thinking, cross-cultural exchange, and engagement with international issues.
(5)Expected Impact & Feedback: The ability to share experiences and outcomes upon return to benefit and inspire other NTU faculty and students, thereby amplifying the program's impact.
VI. Deliverables & Showcase
We hope this journey doesn't just belong to you, but also inspires more NTU students!
(1)Applicants must submit the following deliverables within 1 month of returning to campus:
*Final Project Report (using the format provided by the Career Center).
*At least 4 event photos + a 5-minute video recording (shared via a cloud link).
*Presentation Slides (using the template provided by the Career Center).
(2)The Career Center will select outstanding project outcomes for public display and promotion to showcase your proactive initiative to the wider campus.
VII. Important Notes
(1)Project Changes: Any major modifications to the project (such as changes in location, activity format, or team members) must be requested and approved in writing prior to execution.
(2)Expense Reimbursement: Please keep all relevant receipts and invoices safe. Submit your final report within 1 month of returning to Taiwan to facilitate the budget reimbursement process.
(3)Compliance: If a student violates university regulations, local laws, or acts inconsistently with the approved project during execution, their subsidy qualification will be revoked, and any disbursed funds must be returned.
(4)Force Majeure: If unpredictable factors (e.g., natural disasters, major personal illness, bereavement) affect your execution timeline during the project, please proactively contact the center via phone and email with a written justification to apply for a project amendment.
