Instructor's Perspective

Course Overview

This course helps students explore their potential and transform their learning, guiding them to become future leaders who create social change. "Building Future Leader" is a credited course offered by the NTU Career Center, in collaboration with the professional consultancy DDI (Development Dimensions International) and corporate mentors. The program strengthens students' communication, adaptability, coaching ability, employability, persistence, and decision-making, creating an industry-academic talent development platform and cultivating sustainable talent competitiveness in Taiwan.

Course Features

📌 Leadership Potential Assessment

  • Before the course begins, students will receive a free NT$2,625 online assessment called Potential Plus, helping them gain deeper insights into their leadership potential.
  • Assessment results will be analyzed with detailed feedback to enhance students' self-awareness, leverage their strengths, and quickly improve weak areas.

📌 Blended Learning Model

  • Online thematic learning combined with in-person flipped classroom to help students master essential leadership skills.
  • Post-class practical tasks linked to student clubs and workplace scenarios to reinforce learning effectiveness and ensure real-world application.

📌 Corporate Mentor Coaching Team (See "Corporate Coach Team" page)

  • 11 senior executives from renowned companies serve as coaches, providing one-on-one guidance.
  • Mentors engage with students on real-world leadership and teamwork challenges, sharing valuable experience and insights.

Attendance 1 tardy = -2 points (tardy = arriving 10 min late);
1 absence = -5 points; 3 absences = fail (absence = arriving 30 min late)

Course Application Procedure

  1. Step 1: Fill out the course application form between 8/1 and 8/24. Application Form Link.
    (Applicants who pass the initial screening will receive a potential+ aptitude test account notification email from the Career Center on 8/30)
  2. Step 2: Complete the potential+ aptitude test by 9/4 and attend the test debriefing and course briefing session on 9/9 (Mon) at 6:00 PM.
    (Only those who complete the test and attend the session will be eligible for an authorization code)
  3. Step 3: Final selection list and waitlist announced on 9/10, along with the issuance of authorization codes.
  4. Step 4: Selected students enroll between 9/10–9/12 (late enrollment forfeits spot to waitlisted students); waitlist notification on 9/13 and enrollment on 9/13–9/14.
  5. Step 5: See you in class on 9/16!
