Kyoto University is pleased to announce the call for application for Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program (AFLSP) for April 2027 enrollment.
This scholarship is intended for students who expect to enroll as a regular (degree-seeking) student in a master's degree program, professional degree program, or the first year of a five-year doctoral program at a graduate school of Kyoto University in April 2027.
(Application guidelines for October 2027 are expected to be available around January 2027, with the application period likely to be around April.)
Supported by the Bai Xian Asia Institute and the Bai Xian Education Foundation, Kyoto University has operated the AFLSP as one of the program’s partner universities since 2014.
The AFLSP provides scholarships to help students deepen their understanding of cultural diversity and aims to cultivate future leaders who can contribute to the development of Asia and the wider global community.
Students who wish to apply for this scholarship should apply directly.

Application period is from November 4 (Wed) to November 13 (Fri), 2026 (closes at 5:00 p.m. Japan time) .
Applicants must pass the entrance examination of the relevant graduate school in addition to applying for the AFLSP.
